Kitetags Account Management and Billing Guide
Manage your Kitetags account, update your profile, and handle billing. Learn about the free plan, tag bundles, subscriptions, and how to upgrade or cancel.
How your Kitetags account is created
Your account is created the first time you tap an unclaimed Kitetag with your phone. There is no separate sign-up page. The platform walks you through account creation during the claiming process.
Once your account exists, you can sign in from any device at the Kitetags dashboard to manage your tags, groups, and settings.
How to update your profile
- Open the dashboard and navigate to Account Settings.
- Update your name, email, or other profile details.
- Click Save.
Your profile information is used for account communications and does not affect your tags or groups.
How to change your password
- Go to Account Settings.
- Click Change Password.
- Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
- Click Save.
Kitetags subscription plans
Every new account starts on the FREE plan at $0/month. The free plan gives you access to the full dashboard and lets you manage a limited number of active tags.
As your needs grow, you can upgrade to a paid plan for higher tag limits and additional features. Check the dashboard for current plan options and pricing.
How to purchase Kitetag bundles
Kitetag bundles are packs of physical NFC tags you can claim and configure on your account. Bundles are available in the following sizes:

| Medium | 100 tags |
| Large | 1,000 tags |
To purchase a bundle:
- Navigate to Account Settings and select Bundles or Purchase Tags.
- Choose the bundle size you need.
- Complete the payment process.
- Your new tags will be shipped and ready to claim when they arrive.
How to upgrade or modify your subscription
- Go to Account Settings and select Subscription.
- Review the available plans.
- Select the plan you want and confirm.
Plan changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you may receive prorated access to the new plan immediately.
How to cancel your subscription
- Navigate to Account Settings and select Subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
If you have more active tags than the free plan allows, consider grounding tags you are not using before canceling. Grounded tags do not count toward your active limit.
Understanding billing and frozen tags
If a payment fails or your subscription lapses, the platform may freeze some or all of your tags. Frozen tags stop responding to taps but are not deleted.
To restore frozen tags:
- Go to Account Settings and update your payment method.
- Resolve any outstanding charges.
- Your tags will unfreeze and return to their previous status.
